Often enough, we are surrounded and soothed by some piped-in musac, and usually there is a radio playing something somewhere. But think about it: When was the last time we have leaned back in our favorite easy chair and just listened to some good music – be it Bach or Beatles, jazz or blues, The Magic Flute or Westside Story? Not just as some background audio, but intentional, intense and maybe even loud. Now and then we should. Because after all, that’s what the composers had in mind.
To really enjoy music requires time, but that is the one thing our guests usually bring along. Our ambition is to offer some tough choices: to re-visit favorites or discover new territory? Live DVD or timeless classic? Original masterpiece or digital audiophile re-master? Well, and add to that the books and the biographies. Beautiful possibilities.
