Shortly after its opening in 2012, Lösch für Freunde was chosen as the best "Newcomer Hotel" by the renowned travel magazine 'GEO Saison'. A remarkable achievement when you consider that a large team of 30 experts and editors looked at hotels throughout Europe. With just 15 rooms, Lösch für Freunde in Hornbach in Germany's Palatinate region was chosen in first place ahead of exclusive hotels in London, Paris, Vienna and Barcelona!

Our concept – individually designed living environments in a designer country house, hosts offering a personal service like staying with friends and the social interaction between guests at a communal meal – were fully convincing aspects of a new type of hotel concept.
