Blessed are those who associate ‚my grandma’ with a fondness beyond words, a feeling of love and comfort way down deep. This is where we find our ultimate home with things delicious and precious, with a warm stove and the smell of freshly baked bread. This is our ultimate place of comfort, where fears subside, hurts heal and, in the end, everything will turn out alright after all.
Grandma’s Parlor is our tribute to the grandmothers of this world. In their own special way, they were our sponsors. Knowing them, they probably wouldn’t understand what makes this little suite so special. „That’s just the way it was back then,“ they would say. Yes, and that makes it nice. A gleaming white bathtub with delicate legs that defy the cast iron’s weight. Or the chain you pull to make the water wooosh down from that box up above. Totally irrelevant little details, for sure, but they help tell the story.
There is, of course, a state-of-the-art flat screen and other modern day amenities. After all, grandma had those, too. But that was later.
